Benz & MD - Wonder (Original/Grayarea)(Hope records)
Canadian duo of Benz & MD continue their brilliant run of releases with a high profile one on always excellent Hope Recordings.Signature Benz&MD sound on this one as we're treated to some soaring synth work. On the flip Grayarea rock out the remix with a dirty grungy breakbeat sound that takes this track in a whole new direction.
Morgan Page feat Astrid Suryanto - Falling (SAW records) SAW changes direction a bit with a gorgeous new summery house track that's sure to become a big hit this year in the Ibiza. Nice acoustical treatment on this makes is suited for everywhere from lounges to the mainroom at the superclub. BIG BIG BIG!
Mercurio - The Hand of God EP (Sog records)
SOG dishing up more of what they are known for here, two pieces of solid progressive gear. Mercurio rides the line nicely between driving energy and melodic atmosphere. Both tracks are stellar!

Lenny Kravitz - Believe (Blackwatch remix) (RR1000)
Released a while back as part of a remix competition, the vocals for Lenny Kravitz’s “Believe in Me” are classic Kravitz magic.Soulful and funky at the same time, it’s a vocal track just dying for a proper dancefloor remix. Comes as no surprise then that Michael Thomas would snap them up and deliver a monster remix that’s been causing quite a stir with the very few DJs who’ve had it on CDR. Trademark Blackwatch craft on this one, layer after layer of pristine percussion builds slowly as sparse melody condenses into a massive riff line that rips apart dancefloors every time. A huge bootleg mix that sits proudly up there with some of Michael Thomas’ best works. |
