Moshic - Salamat
We could introduce Mo-Shic in many ways, but none of them would be enough to describe this unique & diverse artist from Israel. He’s been touring the world for many years and has established an amazing name for himself as a great performer and an extraordinary studio artist.
Mo-Shic Shlomi was born, like many of our artists, in Haifa, in the northern part of Israel.
With early influences of Spanish music, his mother sang to him as a child, and the sounds of guitar played by his older brother, it was inevitable for Mo-Shic to turn to music choosing his own personal style of House music.
After returning from a long stay in NY where he had drew inspiration from the best artists on the NY scene - Sasha, Digweed & Tenaglia to name only a few - Mo-Shic released his first single under the Argonout name. Argonout was Mo-Shic's first project and from there it was a short way to releasing numerous singles through Cyber Records (NL) some of which were included in the finest compilations series worldwide, from Gatecrashers to Global Underground and many more.
During this time Moshic had a deepening urge to give birth to his own individual sound, leading to a much darker and more tribalistic atmosphere. The Argonout project paved the way and Mo Shic’s unique sound soon became an underground phenomenon amongst the progressive house community.
DJ Magazine UK heard the buzz and its editor flew over to the Holyland itself to interview Moshic and accompany him for a few days. This resulted in a 3 page article and Moshic was granted the honour of compiling & mixing the 1st CD in the series “Wold Series”, showcasing rising talents from different countries.
For the past 5 years Moshic has been touring the globe, casting his spell everywhere he spinns records. From El-Salavador to Japan, his shows are known for their unexpected diversity and atmosphere which Moshic creates in his 4-5 hour sets.
His long awaited studio album "Salamat” will please fans worldwide and will surely leave a mark on the international scene. It took nearly 2 years to record, mix and complete the final touches, but it is well worth waiting for.
The result is an exciting and new approach to progg. house, with strong Middle Eastern influences heard across the entire album. The 2nd CD in this album is a beautiful continuation in a chill out style. Only a genuine & unique artist like Mo-Shic can tell a whole story through music and will for sure gain new listeners both from the scene and from everyone who appreciates original music with a story behind it...
After all this work and touring the world in the hottest clubs, it was no surprise to anyone that he was rated No. 95 in the DJ Magazine chart for the year 2005.

Momu - Momu
Label: Looq Records | Release Date: March, 2006
Momu - Momu Loöq Records is proud to present the debut album from groundbreaking electronic breakbeat artists, Momu. Coming on the heels of a string of successful singles that began in 2000. The album, a combination of these hugely praised singles and unreleased material, has been much anticipated by fans of the duo who include some of the worlds top DJs such as John Digweed, Adam Freeland, Jonathan Lisle, Hernan Catteneo, and many more.
Momu (JD Moyer aka Jondi, of internationally renowned production duo Jondi & Spesh, and Mark Musselman, one of San Francisco's most acclaimed breakbeat DJs) started innocently enough, but soon after their tracks began hitting clubs and record stores, the buzz was afoot. Momu's raw yet emotive breakbeat sound had been let out, and there was no going back. Word of mouth, both online and off, was swift to spread and it wasn't long before their reputation was quickly growing. Not bad for a pair of DJ/producers who were just in it to bring their collective songwriting ideas into the world of breaks.
The sound represented on Momu's self title album is a culmination of what they do best - combining modern breakbeat with melodic elements found in other genres such as trance, progressive and even indie rock. The result is music that sounds larger and more exuberant than it’s purely dance focused breakbeat forefather. It becomes music that works just as well off the dancefloor as on.
Momu's unique sound was recognized immediately, and their very first single 'This Is Momu' is featured on the album, in addition to such tracks as 'The Dive', 'Sunsicle', and recent single 'One', a track co-written with the members of Chicago's Grayarea. In addition to new tracks as such as 'See It Thru' and 'Hydergine' it's a body of work that chronicles the Momu sound from it's origins right up to the present day.
The impact Momu have had upon the West Coast underground scene has spread across the world over the past few years, and be it any of the aforementioned singles, or remixes for labels that vary from 3Beat Breaks through to Sabotage Systems, aim to follow the standard that has been set with this inaugural artist album. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Momu...

Tracklist:
1. The Dive
2. Sunsicle
3. One
4. See It Thru
5. Donkey Rocket
6. Antietam
7. Mavericks
8. Torque
9. Watership Down
10. This Is Momu
11. Hydergine

| ^Indeed, spijtig dat het zo ver is. Maar ja, blijkbaar is Kosmas ook al op de electro bandwagongesprongen qua draaien, dus zo'n groot gemis zal het al bij al toch niet zijn. :) |
