Heb nog geen negatieve kritiek gekregen, en heb al zo een 100 reacties verzameld, setje was dinsdag nog te horen op lazerhothits voor u4ea fm, bart van wissen zelf vond hem lekker chilly klinken, ...ik kan zelf gewoon niet oordelen, ik blijf dingen horen die ik anders zou doen alhoewel ik mezelf toch een 7/10 geef qua tracks en 6/10 qua mixen, de pitch moest omlaag maar ja...ik zaag nu dus ik zwijg, oordeel zelf maar :P |

Nu aan het luisteren, straks edit ik deze post met de nodige commentaar :)
EDIT: Review dus...
Trackselectie is zoals gezegd heel goed.
Ik begrijp wat je bedoelde over kleine dingen, maar echt erg is het niet, er zitten belange geen trainwrecks in ofzo...
Juist spijtig van de (ietsje) lage kwaliteit van het geluid, maar ik veronderstel dat het door een gebrek aan webspace komt :toothless |

het hoeft niet meer.. Mike heeft zelf al een sample op zijn website gezet:
Push - Respect (Club Remix) - sample
klinkt zalig vind ik, erg lekkere melodie alweer van Mike.. beetje jammer dat hij opnieuw dat choir effect gebruikt (zit ook in The Seventh Day, Live Another Life, New Horizons, de nieuwe Active Sight, ...), maar al bij al veelbelovend. |

Anyway, hier nog een paar nieuwe prog spullen die mij spontaan een eargasm bezorgden:
Everything But The Girl: Five fanthoms (Porter & Debo remix) (White label)
Tracy Thorn’s vocals have featured prominently in some of the biggest dance floor moments of the past decade. The singer of Everything but the Girl has one of those haunting voices that’s made it perfect for dance music. We’re proud to add a couple of new Five Fathoms mixes to the list of amazing Everything but the Girl remixes. Up first is the Porter and Debo mix, a stunning epic production that’s seen these two Bostonians combine for probably some of their best work ever. It’s a gorgeous floating progressive take on things that’s been causing waves already with some very limited play.
Quivver: Twist & shout (Mark Mitchell remix) (White label)
John Graham, aka Quivver, has been front and center of the dance music industry thanks to some truly legendary productions. We’re proud to present two previously unreleased works of his that are finally going to get the attention they deserve. Up first is the Marc Mitchell remix of “Twist and Shout”. Marc is the former production man behind Human Movement and a whole host of other names. Marc’s mix of Twist and Shout takes Quivver’s original work and remolds it into a perfect progressive masterpiece
Danny Howells presents Jamloops vol. 2: Sexmachine (original/16B remixes) (Sexonwax promo)
This is my pick of record of the year, it's subtle beauty is incredible. A record made by one of the world's best DJs clearlydesigned for the dancefloor. A record that comes alive when played over a soundsystem. A string layden emotional piece with a juxtaposed moaning woman. But the deal sealer on this record is the lack of a bassline, a gutsy move that results in a track that screams frustration throughout. The dancefloor is waiting for a bassline that never comes. 7 minutes of unforgettable tension and that's the magic. Absolutely huge with Luke Fair, Desyn Maseillo and of course Danny Howells
Hiratzka & Kazell: In your eyes (Original mix) (Alternative Route promo)
Rumour has it this originally starting life as a Sinead O'Conner remix that was rejected from the label, this masterpiece finally sees the light of day thanks to what sounds like a rerecording of the vocals. Stunning work, one of the best releases on Alternative Route in ages.
Shiloh vs Mark Mitchell: Run 2 the light (Method promo)
Method steamrolls through another release with a huge collaberative effort from dark progressive breaks man Shiloh and one of the founders of the progressive sound Marc Mitchel. THe result is extraordinary, a huge progressive anthem that firmly solidifies the Baroque camp as leaders in the genre. A winding techy affair with subtle melody changes and a wealth of musical elements. A simple haunting piano line melded together with sweeping strings and pulsating pads. Gorgeous!
DJ19 vs Thomas Penton: Ima (Original/Klubfilter remixes) (19box promo)
Japan's DJ19 has been enjoying lots of success lately thanks to his 19Box recordings label and the attention it's been receiving. Team him up with Thomas Penton and we have a dark chugging peice with loads of energy. Perfectly layered percussion and dark synth elements combine for a true masterpiece. Flipside mix is a more melodic vocal number with a twisted techy edge that makes it stand out from everything else.
Paris & Sharp: Unreleased EP (Groovestation promo)
A couple of unreleased Paris & Sharp tracks here on this cheeky white label pressing. First is their remix of the mammoth classic Solarstone-Seven Cities. Chunky and progressive but still with that uplifintg melody. |

Jammer dat 'clubcharts.nl' blijkbaar niet meteen into progressive is, dan zou je dergelijke vinyl reviews over prog. ook int nederlands hebben, misschien zoek ik niet goed genoeg. |

Dit is echt maar een kleine selectie uit hun wekelijks aanbod, ik pik er gewoon de dingen uit die ik goed vond na de samples te beluisteren. Meestal komt dat ook wel overeen met de globale prog-smaak hier op dit forum! :) |

wacht maar tot mavi - tribute to m & m's uitkomt (zeker b-kant) subsky vs yunus mix ===> quality breaks (staat op k-records.be bij de preorders + soundsample included) mmmz ben mijn toekomst hitjes nu ah verklappen :D
