yeah, honestly -
these kind of things have all of this wow/shock factor, and they are nice as poster children for gender essentialists, but as a person of the transgender experience who is involved in the community, i can tell you that every transgender person i've ever met has an amazing story, which may more not be as photogenic/stereotypical/conforming to the cissexist narrative as this, and to focus on that aspect of it sells them all quite short.
also, since you seem to be intrigued by the pronouns - it's her, across the board. this person is not male. the misgendering in the article is pretty bad too. |

Correct me if i am wrong (while i rant about it)
I doubt that people from latin america get picked on less than the transgender community. (i dont know)
However i myself dont feel like defending my roots or the problem people like me (not really me, but people from my background) face at all times.
i guess what i am really saying is... do you really get picked on for who you are? If you do i can see why you talk about it so much -- but if you dont, why the do you obsess and talk bout it so much?
I cant understand why every post you make is like "oh transgender this, oh tranny that ".... id be as annoying as me going "oh illegal immigration this, ICE that"
does that makese sense? i might be drunk but i find your posts quite annoying...
anyhow -- i will go back to drinking mah beerz (the z does not imply its plural, i am only drinking one out of my 6) |

of course i do. I've even received death threats on the street, followed home, etc. that's not really the issue though. if someone makes a dumbass comment like Nou did, I'll take the opportunity to call him out for it for the lulz.

no, not every post i make is, and when i do, it's in reply to others bringing it up first. For example, in this case, Nou made a point of misgendering me out of spite.

well it makes as much sense as one would expect from someone who has no experience with the issue. i don't really care if you find them annoying, tbh. if y'all would just stop being dicks and use the right pronoun then you wouldn't have to be annoyed all the time.
it never ceases to amaze me how time and time again, someone will make a point of bringing up my gender, and the moment i have the audacity to respond to it, i get scolded with phrases like 'everyone one of your posts is tranny this and tranny that'.
it's like you just don't want to acknowledge that transgender people and issue exist, or if they do, you shouldn't have to read about them. imagine that. |

I don't have a problem with people talking about huge changes they've made in their lives, voluntary or not.
The militantness that nef uses in defending those changes is just ing annoying though. The fact that it all plays into the attitudes he/she made has made the entire time he/she has been on the site just makes it laughable. Nef has constantly presented this attitude of total uniqueness and constantly takes an offensive tone when it comes to dealing with people that might contradict it or hold different view points to the point where people really have no option but to ignore it or play into this feeling of marginalization that I think nef gets off on. |

Have to agree with this. I can't even remember the last time you brought up transexuality without anyone here starting the discussion before you.
To be fair though, this topic isn't something that most people have had much exposure to (myself included). Maybe it's just kind of exciting :p |
