depends on the cost of the upgrade, length of flight, mood at time of boarding, level of being hungover, how many babies are screaming in the lounge, etc. i don't particularly enjoy being in coach on a full flight > six hours in coach. i'm tall (taller than you), fly often, and find a distinct value to being comfortable and getting those nifty fast track passes for customs. |
Yea, but you are a chick. |

| I know it's not always covered prior to 12th grade, but you should be aware that value relates to cost. Since you have no concept, whatsoever, of cost, you cannot possibly have anything of merit to add to a discussion on value. |

Flying economy allowed me to be seated next to Roger Goodell on my flight to Miami in March. :o I usually try to fly JetBlue. You can upgrade to "extra leg room" rows for like $30 extra.
Edit: Ninja. Also how ya feelin' today hoss? |

Yes, and I am arguing that the value is not high enough to justify the cost. Even if I am not spending the money, I know how much it costs. Spending 1200$ 10 hour flight in Economy/Coach is already a huge amount of money, even on round trip.
I am arguing something totally different than you to be honest. I am arguing a cost/time ratio, where you are arguing a cost/value (comfort) ratio. They can be intertwined, but I think that the time/value ratio when they are related is very important. Since airplane travel is so quick, say compared to rail travel, then it makes more sense to spend less and get less value, because the total time is much less. |

Not really. Its a matter of tolerance to certain sensory inputs, most of which you listed wildly vary between genders. |

| It is possible to value comfort more than cost. |

Yes, but I am arguing that it is stupid when apply a function of time to the situation. Some people have ridiculously high demands for comfort, even for short periods of time.
Same reason I think limousines are ing stupid. |
