if i'm not mistaken, Shaw is from Illinois.
You're not, but the only way Nou can rationalize someone from a major city disagreeing with his "politics" is by blaming it on some sort of regional brainwashing he supposes occurs when you go to a new place. He's never left home (aside from going to JAPANOMG) so this theory has not yet been disproven.

ok so you are using appeal to emotions, and an ad hominem approach
Either P or Q is true.
Q is frightening.
Therefore, P is true.
Either having 'my insane idea' or not having government is true.
Not having government is like having :

Ad-hominem since your opening argument was a logical fallacy of argumentum ad metum

OK now you bring up politics; just stop right there. Also speak of the stupidity of either side; Either side of what? Also don't put me on that ing line of right wing or left wing bull. If you have that narrow of a ing view to think people can be put on some ing line; straight up off with this logical fallacy and I might hear you out.

Upgrading isn't always about having a bit of "extravagance". No way a tall like me could flt coach on a 22 hour flight. The drinks and food are just the bonus. Flying can feel like rape no matter what(it just sucks period, regardless of class of ticket) , a bit of comfort to make it more bearable really isn't that much. What is the point of getting to a destination and feeling tired and like for 2 days?
edit: i forgot its nou, never mind.

I am using ad hominem arguments because your idea is purely emotional, not based on any sort of reality. Where is your justification that no government is better than government? Please cite historical points where a total lack of governance has worked out better for a society in the long run?

+1 i usually fall asleep by the time we take off. most flights i wake up with 20 minutes to landing.

I don't have the means right now to do so, and if I did I am not sure of what I would do, at least in regards to poverty. Honestly, poverty is a very complex issue that can not be solved by throwing money at it, it is a product of societal ills that allow vast poverty to occur. I do not have the answers to fix those either, let alone the means.
I can spot the issues though, as many can. Unfortunately I am unable to speak of anything I do contribute, so yes I am being hypocritical to some degree, but it is good to have a persistent and annoying voice shouting at people.
Honestly though, if I did have the money I'd find the best way to invest it in infrastructure, even though that is a job best left to the state. I'd probably also spend my money on initiatives to reform tax law, so we create a country where corporations and wealthy people that exist here contribute back more than their fair share of money.
Individuals alone though sadly have little power, you need coalitions and popular ideas with the backing of masses. Unfortunately in this country it is probably too late, no, strike that, was never possible, to form a country based on civil decency, care for the impoverished, or securing a stable future based on education, initiative and cooperation rather than war and fear.
