What's funny about this is that the Nazi's had a very strong environmental conservatism component to their policies. Good work, Nou... keep displaying your incredible lack of knowledge and inability to use rhetoric! |

| I'm (not surprisingly) with Stubert on this one. If blowhard billionaires can give a voice to people who would not otherwise have one, it's not a bad thing in the least, especially when it comes to issues that every last man, woman and child should care about. Who cares if he's going to make a lot of money off of it- we live in a world of accelerated capitalism, and if I recall, it's people like Kevin who staunchly support that sort of thing in the ing first place, right? Right. |

I think what people like Kevin take issue with (other then intellectual honesty, of course) is the champange-socialism exhibited by people like Mr. Cameron. Have some integrity... if you're going to tell people to give more to support the en vouge cause de jour then you should be leading by example. Honestly, how much money does he need? If he really cares as deeply as he postures to then he should liquidate all his assets beyond a reasonable living amount to support same... anything short of that just smacks of a rich bastard trying to feel better about himself through tokin support of some seemingly worthy cause. |

| No, I get that, I just also simultaneously think that men like James Cameron should be ing paragons to the conservatives. They're private benefactors- apparently relentless capitalists bent on exploiting the free market system to their whim- isn't that the absolute ing point??? They have the funds to pull events on almost the same level as a government, but with star power. They're every capitalists ideal wet dream - individuals willing to put up with charity as opposed to mandated federal funding they regard with oh-so-much vehemence. It seems like every free-market neocon dickface I have ever gotten into it with regards these sorts of people as the hope that will emerge when that darned gubberment stops charging so many darned taxes! Leave it to the individual benefactors to take care of the populace! That will of course work because we have upstanding people like James Cameron around. |

I agree with you that rather then attacking such benefactors they should hold them up as examples as to why the government need not be involved in such things; however, as I indicated intellectual honesty is not their strong-suit. |
