US Department of Labor says "The federal minimum wage for covered nonexempt employees is $7.25 per hour effective July 24, 2009. The federal minimum wage provisions are contained in the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)."
When I first started working I was paid $5.75 because that was minimum. Trying to live on your own for the first time on that was a ing joke.

It is. Because women are boring, shallow and useless. They have no interesting hobbies, no taste in art, can't contribute anything to a discussion and make any possible activity less fun by being tired, stressed, scared, having a headache or whatever. Their only redeeming feature is sex, is the one thing they are good for. Everything else is better done with a bro.

At least those two are always available for a bit of fun! ... Except if the power goes out, then they stubboringly refuse to work. Interesting enough when the power goes out men start being awailable since we have to find something to amuse ourselves with until the power comes back on and we can start playing videogames again. |

Minimum wage in Australia is $15.51 per hour.
That said though, it's ing expensive to live here now. When I hear about the prices of normal in the US, it blows me away at how cheap things are. |

I'm not sure I agree with you that the "friendzone" concept necessarally implies a deminished value to friendship in comparison to romance or sex. I would view them more as parrallel tracks, as I assure you that some of those in my "friendzone" are way more important to me than most women that have been in my "sexytimezone." |

| I thought that's exactly what she's implying. That the value of true friendship is incomparable to mere sex or even romance, for that matter. The latter can of course be wonderful things, but they are brief and sticky (in more ways than one); love for a friend is fulfilling in ways that even the wettest sapphistry could never touch! |
