I still have to get my ass to the gym there. i've been telling myself i want to swim, but i'm dead tired from working. How are the pools at cole / palladium?
I really want to go to the palladium gym, but im not sure i have access since i'm only a PT student at the law school. |
Palladium is very nice, Coles is old but the pool looks alright. Palladium is a nice gym actually, quite spacious...Anyhow, you going to NYU now? You doing that program we talked about? |

Yeah, i started an LLM program at the Law School this semester, which is the reason i haven't been out in a long time. But i don't think it's the program we talked about, I think we talked about the real estate program at SCPS. |

This is a very good article. Not only about the warm water after your meal, but about heart attacks . The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water, maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge" reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer . It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
A serious note about heart attacks - You should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. 60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up. Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.

im sure every bit helps, healthwise. its great that you developed a good habit like that :)
At work I normally drink cups and cups of ice coffee and water every day, but this week i was going to try to break that habit by getting some green tea from the kitchen. Usually everyone grabs the flavored teas and theres only green tea left. well wouldnt you know it, this week its the total opposite and the next restock date is in TWO weeks!!!~ lol :whip: figures huh. at least they have blueberry tea, thats good for something...
next time they do a restock i am just going to HOARD it at my desk. lol |

Important question: What are the best/most durable earphones to use at the gym??
I have tried multiple sony models, sports water resistant, bass booster, wrap arounds, etc. They all seem to break after 6 months or so. Given that I am blasting and sweating the crap out of them at the gym for an hour and half a day, 5 times a week, what do you all think is the most durable brand?
(I am not going for the higher end/audiophile ones because when I am working out I dont really pay attention to the sound quality much) |

I've been using my Sony MDR-EX71's but they are noise cancelling earbuds, so when I sweat, sometimes it distorts the sound and/or makes the earbud fall out. not the best I admit but it's held up quite nicely. I still would prefer something else while I run also and haven't had the time to look around for something that is fitting. |
