I def treat cardio with a much higher priority than weights because when it comes down to it there is no reason to get huge.
Try some green tea extract, its a natural fat burner, and is currently helping me get nice and shredded for the summer |
weights are good because it keeps the metabolism going longer throughout the day. you won't necessarily get HUGE from weights, i prefer weights to cardio any day of the week and i'm far from huge |

I don't shun the weights i just do alot more cardio, 5-6 miles a day and about 30-45 minutes of weights. But if im in a time bind, then I'll opt for the cardio over the weights anyday |

i prefer weights also -- i love the idea of burning calories at rest cuz im lazy haha. i normally do cardio warm-up and then weights for the duration of the time at gym but after reading the article i think imma switch it up and do the cardio after, hopefully it uses up fat calories, which is what I NEEDDDD...
cardio is GREAT for the metabolism/adrenaline SPIKE right after the workout...weights are awesome to maintain calorie burn beyond that...
havent gone back to the gym yet tho...meh
anyway, just slacked off the healthy eating but at least mindful ive been doing it...
been drinking a LOT of looseleaf japanese brown rice green tea as of late...
actually had some penne a la vodka and some awesome riesling tonight. ahhh :) |

if building muscle is your thing doing weights first might help you more because when you do all your cardio first you might tire your body out for the weights and don't go as hard as you could BUT that's really more for building muscle.
for losing weight in an ideal world you would have two workouts, like run in the morning and lift in the evening. |

me too! the only time i've been able to workout early is during the nhl playoffs, i'm somewhat of a fan and watch way too many playoff games and i can't do that while at the gym after work OR when i had tennis lessons at the ass crack of dawn, i used to play for an hour or so then weights later that day...
i might start working out early again though because nysc is one block away from my building... |
