Anyone ever try downing raw eggs before?? NEver tried it but I was watching Rocky Balboa and saw him doing it and looked it up - turns out the risk of salmonella poisoning is VERY VERY small, about 1 per 30,000 eggs is contanimated. And doing so gives you pretty much the best protein scenario possible - cooking and even breaking the yoke is enough to throw off its molecular ... goodness? structure?? something like that lol

I'd feel hardcore as hell downing 3,4 raw eggs after the gym, but I'd prob be ting my brains out too for a few days as my body got used to it

ur totally right about the structure of the yolk changing...as well as the cholesterol aspects...supposedly there is little cholesterol when the egg is raw, but it skyrockets in cooked yolk....

not sure if i could stomach such a thing...maybe if i made some sort of shake outta it so i couldn't tell i was swallowing raw egg :nervous:

We are having our holiday feast at work today. I swear I am absorbing calories just by looking at all this food. I don't know if I am strong enough to resist.

I was just thinking.........shouldnt a night of dancing do something for you? One would think that anyways......most of us here are not exactly wall flowers ;)

short answer, yes. but that is more than offset by the 150 - 250 calorie drinks you consume. There is little chance you actually burn 1000 calories at a night in the club, whereas, you can take in more than 1000 calories with just 4 drinks.

I was advised by my nutritionist to take gin or vodka tonics.....she told me a pint is about 150 cals, but since we never actually GET pints, I am assuming its a little less than that. I am guessing with 2 beers and to vodka drinks my caloric intake is about 500-600. still scary!!! :eyes:

i don't know if you've seen me but i would guess i burn 1000 in one night because i can't stop moving...seriously i burn the same amount of calories that i drink in an average night out.

Well I am happy to say, thanks in part to this thread, I have been going to the gym 3 times a week starting at the end of October. Running / Walking / Sprinting for 30 + minutes and then some sit ups and according to the scale at my gym which I think is off, I have already lost 4 - 5 lbs in the last month :). I can also see it in my face and stomach as well as feel it in my lungs. So much easier just to even walk around (trying to over come 10 years of smoking is hard) which was my main goal, the weight loss is just an added bonus.

I haven't changed my diet much at ALL!! I will go towards the healthier choice now if I see it but I sure as hell don't look for it. I know that I would be doing better if I changed my eating habits but just wont do it.

1 month down.....a million more to go :D

this thread has definitely been great, concentrating on establishing habits toward a 'lifestyle' vs. just a quick, short-term solution :) i love reading about how well ppl are doing too :) niice, overall very inspirational.
