between cleaning up the house after 2 thanksgiving dinners and then preparing for our trip last minute, ive only made it to the gym 4 times since end of November so im just a bit antsy as im sorta off routine right now. did go *once* last week despite jet lag and did almost double my normal routine of crunches to try to keep my abs in ok shape...
to be more realistic, i do realize i will be alright despite this falloff...however it can't last too long and i absolutely have to go back. I miss the rush of energy i get the day after working out :(. in the meantime, have been trying to concentrate on getting enough nutrients in order to keep a somewhat healthy balance -- a packet of instant oatmeal for breakfast, salmon and tuna instead of chicken during lunch, green tea, still off white carbs of any kind, veggies and proteins for dinner, limiting meat and avoiding as much saturated fat as i can, and have added flaxseed oil supplements and other vitamins on a daily basis.
i used to be the type to try all sorts of diet pills while trying to lose weight...This is actually the very first time in my life im going about things the hard/right way and doing it totally for health reasons. im just glad i actually ended up loving it. |

Got some hydroxycut. Started using it about a week ago, it gets me f*ckin amped. I'm not sure if it's a placebo effect, or if its doing anything at all, but I like how I feel when I take it. Probably has something to do w/ the caffeine keeping me going, don't know. |
I took hydroxy cut in college. Gives you a ton of energy. Made me lose 10 lbs quickly and then nothing. It says after a couple weeks to start taking 2 pills before each meal. When I started doing that it TORE up my stomach!! HORRIBLE pain! Not worth losing the weight, esp since after a while it did nothing for me. It also was too much for me in other ways: way too fast of a heart rate and I would be sweaty from just sitting down. Stopped that immediately. **note: dont take with caffeine** <---your heart will explode. lol no lie. |

+1....cocaine and ecstasy both make you lose weight, but noone on here has suggested those drugs for that purpose. kel is right, keep off that . it's especially bad when the company producing it doesn't seek FDA approval. That normally means it's ! |

| This is true. I had my best results when downing a cup of green tea about 30 minutes before my workouts. Keep it simple |

Ive been in pain ever since the injury. My stupid ass hasnt been to a doc yet, but im fairly sure its the ACL or PCL, whichever is on the left side of the knee. I have my good and bad days. When i first snapped it at the gym, i couldnt walk for 2 days. Im still able to dance, play hockey, but i dunno about running. Actually, a trainer showed me an incline walk on a incline treadmill and i was burning (according to the treadmill) around 500-600 calories after 30 mins. I did 5 mins @15 % incline and then 5 mins at 30% incline and kept switching it up every 5 mins for 30 mins. It kills my legs and makes me sweat a lot.
good . |
500-600 calories in 30 mins.....are you kidding me? sounds way off. I usually run on a treadmill for about 20 mins starting off on speed #4 and increasing the speed by one every minute until I'm running about a 7 minute mile. This is a pretty intense cardio work out and I only burn about 350 calories. I never trust the calorie count though......everybody burns calories at dif rates.
Anyways been back at the gym 5 days a week for the past two months after taking about a year off lol. Just now starting to get my strength back and I'm feeling great. Cut back on the cardio though because it's impossible for me to gain weight while doing cardio so just going to do heavy weight training for a few months then hit the cadio hard to get ripped....can't wait to get the 8 pack back.....it's pretty much hiding under a little bit of body fat lol :p Weight training is going good but I bruised my left elbow at work and it hurts like a bitch when lifting heavy......hopefully it heals soon but will prob bother me for some time. My goal is to be up to 180 by summer time and benching at least 300. |

When ephedrine/ephedra was readily available, it was the most effective product on the market. It was (is if you know where to get it) addictive. People over done it and because of those idiots the Gov. banned it in a diet pill form. You can still get pure ephedra as a medicinal pill or pill for bronchitis. If you mix ephedra pill with caffeine it will give you the same (or better) results as a diet pill. |
They still sell it online. I bought some a few months ago, I've been taking it on and off for like 5 years now. Yes very addictive...to me mostly because when I take it I am 200% more functional in just about everything. I can excersise more, get much more work done, etc.
The downside: When I take too much a talk a mile a minute and piss people off (haha mostly Chris) he's like calm the down! ...and sometimes get that shaky feeling.
What I really want is adipex...someone let me try some and I loved it. It's by prescription only (you can get it without at some places online but you will end up paying much more) and most insurance wont cover it unless it's due to health reasons and its very expensive. |

| There is no magic pill. Its all fake guys. Losing weight requires diet modification and exercise. END OF STORY. Doing anything else may make u lose weight, such as excess thyroid hormone, meth use, etc, but its also kills u. LOL. Just eat a balanced meal and work out at ure local gym 3x a week. |

meth use rofl your sick
yea i think all the things you mentioned will help to a certain extent like maybe a few pounds but for someone whos tryin to loose alot of weight you gotta put effort into it with working out, weight lifting, stairmaster, checkin out a carl cox party etc etc...
and you have to eat healthy and in balanced meals
but theres also one thing that not too many people know
some peoples metabloism is slower then others and it comes from your gene's in your family so theres not much you can do about it
it might take you longer to lose weight then someone else whos is not as slow as yours and you can do the same workout and diet for a month |

Yeah, i dont trust it either and thats why i said according to the treadmill. The trainer told me that at 30% incline at speed of 3mph (or something like that) you loose 100-200 calories every 5 mins. All i need to lose is my fat weight, cause i already have pretty decent muscle weight. I started working out in 2003 and been off and on. |
