My friend forwarded this article to me, which I thought was very informative and motivating.

http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Six-Pack-Abs

More than just information on ab work, it also gave some very useful strategies on establishing overall diet/lifestyle of health and wellness.

Keeping it moving on my end....still doing the same routine of 3 days a week and a healthy lifestyle :) (although the past week I didnt go ONCE due to vaca and being DEAD when I came back...c'est la vie....hopefully all the dancing and going around town did something for me!) lol

Although I am the type to slooowly see results, it WAS nice to go down 2 pants sizes since I started :) :) (took loong enough!!)

Patience is key with me, I dont change as quickly and its harder to see drastic results. I am feeling great tho!! :)

Ryan: half marathon ::nervous: thats awesome!! I will stick to my elliptical and spinning (making myself take a few classes!) running is---> :( to me (and my girls). lol

Doood...I got a workout I just read about for you, absolutely kills your core, and in only about 20-30 min. It's called the 300 Spartan Workout, and yes, it's basically the workout that the guys did every day for 2 months for the movie 300. I've tried it like one or 2 times, and it's insane, totally wiped me out after finishing and could not lift another 5 lb weight haha.

My fattyness is rubbing off lol.

I just bought myself some 8 pound weights [to work out shoulders] and I am going to skip out on red meats. It's gonna be a week now that I haven't had red meat

-crying-

Ooooh... and maybe I'll see if I can start getting into veggies. Tomorrow we are going food shopping and I'm gonna buy some veggie burgers.

never tried it. :nervous:

Egg whites is quite good for you, it's just really easy to get sick of them :D

I love egg white omelettes and all that good stuff :D I just wish I could lose my love of sunny-side eggs tho omg those are YUMMY!!!

Anyway one poor habit ive gone back to eating white carbs (bread and rice amongst other things). Still keeping it within moderate limits…but when I had excluded it from my diet, I didn’t even crave them at ALL and my body felt great! Now it’s a bit hard to cut back again since my body is used to having them…but I will for sure. Thank god in the middle of all of this, I’ve been able to maintain whatever I have achieved thus far. I am still in better shape and possess much more energy than I had last year.

hmm...friend's WEDDING in July...we def gotta step up on this!!! :whip:

Melly you look awesome, umm fat where? :conf: :whip:

Red meat is a great source of protein and filling as long as its lean (think sirloins). Avoid ground meat unless its ground sirloin (then again Ive heard too much bad press on ground beef in general that ive just cut it out. but ur definitely on the right track in terms of your thinking though; ive also cut out red meat in general to keep me from craving it at all. there are def other ways to achieve that protein balance.

ooh veggie burgers can be quite yummy. I haven't totally converted yet but turkey ones are really juicy and satisfying for now. Just gotta eat the ones with lower fat content. it can be deceiving...i saw Boca Burgers on the shelf at BJ and I might buy them next time :D

Just red meat is really bad to digest.. I know it's a good source of protein but it's in your body for way too long.

Boca Burgers are Turkey? I'm willing to try them. I just desperately need to cut down the red meat consumption!
