not true. i eat more wendys then most people on this board, and i have very low body fat. the key is portion control and substituting some with calories that have some healthy content. If you do that you can still eat a burger or whatever. the starting point is to remove the mayo off the sandwiches. By doing that you are eliminating 100-200 calories that have almost no nutritional value. Also, drink water instead of soda (another 200 calories) and get a salad with low fat dressing (another 100-200 calories) instead of fries. If you do all that you can drop anywhere from 400 - 500 unhealthy calories out of your diet and still eat at fast food places. |
I don't know man....I might have you beat. The only places open while I'm at work is Wendys and McDonalds.:nervous: I seriously need to start packing my lunches. If I actually ate right and started taking about 180-200 grams of protein a day I think I would be a lot father along than I am right now. |

Well yeah - They're called supplements for a reason. I had a friend in college who got 'roids from this kid from NJIT and shot up and just sat around. It had the complete opposite effect as he thought it would. :haha:
RE: Meals. I read a book that my co-worker swears by. The gist of it is that you eat 5 meals a day, albeit small to medium sized meals. The key is to keep your metabolism going and preventing the urge to binge. I've been loosely following this, and feel like I have tons more energy throughout the day. Something like an eggbeater spinach omelette for bfast/OJ, bowl of oatmeal around 11, chicken salad at lunch, protein bar with a cup of skim around 3, then my dinner, whatever the hell I decide to eat. Then before I sleep, a scoop or two of 1% cottage cheese so my body doesn't starve when I sleep. Protein shake thrown in there somewhere, for after the gym.
I really feel that's the key, as opposed to restrictive dieting. And damn Brian, 200G of protein a day  |

In order to fully benefit from strenuous workouts 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight is recommended. But this is like body building type .....not everybody would benefit from this.....like your average Joe that goes to the gym to bull and make friends would prob just get fat from all that protein lol. |

Yeah I think that's the commonly accepted number. I'm going for the athletic cut/big-ness so I don't know if I'd be going for the 180G of protein I'd need. Plus eating all that protein gets in expensive!!
Anyone ever try downing raw eggs before?? NEver tried it but I was watching Rocky Balboa and saw him doing it and looked it up - turns out the risk of salmonella poisoning is VERY VERY small, about 1 per 30,000 eggs is contanimated. And doing so gives you pretty much the best protein scenario possible - cooking and even breaking the yoke is enough to throw off its molecular ... goodness? structure?? something like that lol
I'd feel hardcore as hell downing 3,4 raw eggs after the gym, but I'd prob be ting my brains out too for a few days as my body got used to it |

try glenny's soy crisps, a pretty good snack i just started eating. 1 bag (about the size of a regular snack size bag of chips) has 140 calories, 2 g fat, 0 sat fat, and 10 grams of protein. |

Yea except Subway is . The reason why it is sooo "healthy" so they say is because they only put 2 goddamn slices of meat on the in bread. I wouldnt even call it a proper sandwich its a appetizer. |

LOL, cheap Indian/Pakistani Subway owners. They figure if they give u a few slices less of meat, they can make a fortune on other customers. Funny thing was when this indian lady was making this black guy a sandwich and hes like, "Hey, dat dont look like that mofo sub in the picture u got up there. I need me a real Sammich." :p If i get subway, I order they cant jip me on, like Tuna or Oven Roasted Chicken. :toothless |
