Thanks, check your PM. It just costs $50ish for the materials to do the mod + silly -ups.

Defently a good choice!
If I'm not mistaken the vibrations you heard were caused due to the window, try replacing them in the room and push up the bass again too normal, see how that goes.
Few other tips -
would be getting a few pieces of stiff foam and putting them under the monitors in order too prevent the BM's from vibrating on your table and messing up your sound.
I don't know how it is called but there's a little plastic bracelets that you could put around wires so they won't make a mess and pick up lots of dust in the way. Do that, your monitors got rear in/output of air (as far as I recall), they will suck lots of dust - very unhealty for them and any other piece of equipment.

I have to thank Tweak for his guide, it really helped me set this (hobby) studio up in a very usable and intuitive way. There are a million different ways to set up a studio rig, and i needed to learn to set it up MY way.

I use the Axiom as both keyboard controller and control surface through Sonar's ACT function. Works like a charm. Everything i use is within arms reach of me. I do mostly trance and new age, and so I don't need any more gear, just learning to use what i have better now. Will post some songs soon.

PS... If anyone else is using Sonar 6 I'd be way into collaborating on a trance track with someone!

How do you like the external filter? Do you use it a lot?

I've been thinking of setting up a loopback signal path to a breadboard to experiment with mostly passive circuits on my sounds, like filters and rectifiers. But I get a decent amount of EMI in my studio room, something I need to clean up before I can seriously record anything that goes outside the box.

Actually, that black stuff on the table is leather over some sort of foam so there are no vibrations :)

Good idea about filtering the rear ports so dust doesn't get in!
