Storyteller, thanks alot. Not sure what you mean, I like to keep my tracks simple if that's what you mean by production quality, the kbps is also rather low on these samples on my website.
Ry Thomas, I'm sorry, what do you mean by bold statement? Anyway, the overusage of Autotuning from swedish bedroomproducers is redicolous and i am sick of it. It's bad enough that we have to put up with Basshunter in this damn country, and the 20.000 teens that follows his trails by doing the same crapmusic. Perhaps you dont have that problem in your country, perhaps I should edit the blogpost where it says swedish producers then  |

| It just sounds like some tracks could have been eq-ed a bit tighter so there would be a bit better seperation of sounds. But thats just a minor remark. :) It could be due to the mp3 quality of some tracks. Who knows. :) |

Thanks, mastering is not my strong side.
Is there any track in particular you think of? The ones pre-2008 I can totally understand, sadly I dont have those arrangement files left due to a crash that caused all my tracks from 8 years back dissapear into the void. But I have still decided to have them there because they mean something to me. |

This is reality amongst young producers in Sweden to be honest, piracy i dont give a about, its todays technology. You will have to excuse me for being semi-retarded though but I still dont quite understand what the sentence "bold statement" means. This is just my opinion, perhaps I came out a bit harsh or what? I dont want to stop saying what i feel only because im a producer and want to get "out there" with my music.
Sorry for not knowing english so well :( |

Don't get me wrong dude, i'm not having a go or anything:)
I was just saying it was a bold statement(from my point of view), i don't know the affairs of producers over your end so i couldn't comment further, obviously you are entitled to your point of view |

My apologies, Ry. I wasnt meant to sound aggressive or anything, I just wanted a clarification. It's the whole digital label explosion along with the ease of access to these things on the internet amongst new producers that make quality become so mediocre, again, I encourage new people to start making music, thats the upside of internet i suppose, as more people can learn the art of music and express themselves throughout music. But all I hear from people who promote their sites to me is autotune and gabberkicks along with arp-presets from Nexus. :(
Sorry to spam the Homestudio thread about this, Ry (or others) who wish to discuss this, I have a thread towards my site on the Promotionforum HERE
I will make a post on the website today to clarify what i mean, i follow technology, unlike the record companies who thinks raising the prices of cd's will decrease piracy ^^
Regards, Fredrik. |

This last Statement sounds as bold as the previous one, but in a way you're right, many major companies and their employees who get thousands of $$ a month have no clue. They're just sheep following directives. But the dance music industry is far from doing this. We're different people after all. We have families, sometimes children, and we all have thousands of stuff to do in a week besides listening to music. This is why I judge your statement "bold".
Don't make yourself a global opinion of everyone like it seems you are doing now, or you will end up extremely frustrated, especially if you want to make a living out of music, which is far from easy nowadays. For the info, I get like 15 000 $ of royalties in a year, and something like 5000 $ with gigs. 20 000$ average a year. Not even enough to pay my taxes (38% in my country) sometimes, so I have to sell stuff. Fortunately I'll have soon other sources of income. |

It's a blog, I was hoping to post my own opinions there just as I respect others opinions, eventhough I dont agree with them. But due to all the controversy here on TA I erased those posts. The last thing I want to be painted up as is an . At least I got myself a tracktitle for my newest production which went to promotion today, which is something good out of all this mess. And all this talk about money, I dont give a about money in this industry - its a bonus, my working passion lies in Healthcare.
