Thanks go out to the members on here who took the time to give me their advice re: desk dimensions, monitor placement, and so on--your help is much appreciated mates!

Custom built desk, Event TR8 monitors, Novation Remote SL 61key USB MIDI keyboard, Echo Audiofire4 audio interface, Windows XP

(Ignore the pencil case, binder, clipboard and so on: the second half of my desk is doubling as a work-station for school)

looks very nice. now what sequencer do u use and what are your comp specs?

varr nice!

so what's the use of those mixing boards I see lots of producers using? Why not just use the mixers provided in any sequencer out there? Is it an analog vs digital mixdown thing?
Ry Thomas
I prefer hands on mixing dude, this has everything i need from a digital mixer so it does me fine.

interesting. but it does have an improved mixdown quality over a Logic Mixer, for example right?
Ry Thomas
It has its 'own' sound as each channel has its own compression and eq if that's what you mean. plenty of room to get more synths and outboard gear so it does me fine
StanVoid
not to mention it looks in sweet :D

Congrats on getting the D8B, it looks like mint condition! - How are you finding it and what OS does the PC have?

Nice setup by the way, and the desk looks good (what is that too?)
