Agreed. He'd just need to reply more selectively and let things slide. Paulino goes in the defense too easily but doesn't really owe us an explanation either :). Not replying would take away most of the discussion as there would be none to begin with :).

That's really not acceptable. I'm gay, I doubt I'm the only queer person here, and I would very much prefer that you didn't use my sexuality as a way to disparage something.
We're not going to get into the weeds of some pseudo-etymological discussion over 'oh but I don't mean gay-gay,' because the only reason 'gay' is used as an insult is because of how many people view being queer as a bad thing.
