room is not dead :) still 3 hard walls, ceiling and floor left :-)
Windows can open, but to be honest i prefer them closed
also there are basstraps in the windowseals
Since the room is a bit small 3.60 * 2.4m you need some treatment in order to work on an acceptable level. |
I have a small room like yours and also had the older HR824s here at one point. The problem with foam is its uneven absorption of the sound, which will make everything more unbalanced when the entire side wall or most of the room is cover with it.
You should at least switch your monitors to +2db HF gain if you haven't done already, to offset some of the losses. |

Not quite what it once was, but I like it more this way. Everything is right in front of me.
Only major differences are I sold the Waldorf Blofeld. I really wasn't a fan of it only having a single stereo output and the three-knobby interface (with no software editor). And that I sold the Prophet 08 (the Poly Evolver's filters/envelops/analog OSCs are all practically identical to the prophet, so I didn't see a point in owning both).
On a side note, where is my Virus Ti? Look inside my PC case .... see the white glow?? :D

All that plugs into the I/O is the USB and Power. Don't need anything else ... I get 3 stereo outs and a full 16 MIDI I/Os. Yeah, I just use the VC; I find it to be immensely more intuitive than the hardware interface. |

Here's my studio, nothing amazing but it does the job nicely. Sorry about the quality.

well nothing compared to some of the beast studios on here, but i'm still proud of my cozy lil' setup, so here are a couple pics :)
waiting on money from the gov.t at the moment to buy myself some yamaha hs 80s, and then it'll be done (for a while)...
new things = virus TI, and an OLDDDDD(er than me) Moog prodigy which is ing awesome, and used to belong to an aussie band called hunters and collecters, but now belongs to a family friend... so it's just on loan, but that's fine by me, as long as i can continue to stroke it's beautiful keys and tweak it's beautiful knobs....
ANYWAY...

| as I'm moving houses right now, and as my new computer setup arrives in a few, I think I'll enter the game and post a few pics once finished in the new house. There's nothing special about it though. You guys have mostly much more hardware than I do. |
