Quite nice. I really like its sound and I also really like the patch bank I made for it. The only draw-back is I wish it was multi, or at least fully dual timbral (split-keys are your best bet for dual timbral).
It has eight voices and four TS outputs. To me this means it should be able to work as four 2-voice Prophets (in mono). Not so, unfortunately. DSI said it was primarily intended to be for performance, but a software update in the future may bring full dual or multi timbral capabilities. To me, that means 'don't hold your breath'.

Really, not as big as I thought it was going to be. Unless you meant the sound, then, yes, it's more massive than you can possibly imagine. The Andromeda is it's own synth with its own character, but the filters were very closely modeled after classic Oberheim and Moog designs. Because of this it can emulate those and other classic analogs very well in addition to marking its own sonic territory. |

Yeah, that was a crucial part of the studio design. I wanted to be able to tweak everything without having to get off my ass, basically. :D |

Actually your studio looks a lot like the rooms of the (film) composers I work with. Good job. |

Those monitors are arguably the best on the market right now at that price range. They blow most speakers at $1000 more out of the water.
Search for Eric J' review on here. |
