Transparent as fcuk. It's definitely not a character compressor. I've been using it mostly with the SSL pre when I'm tracking acoustic guitar, vocals, and sometimes bass (although I prefer the Drawmer for bass). You can run the RNC in "Super Nice" mode and get some pretty hefty gain reduction on vocals without even hearing it working it's magic. For the price, it's a no-brainer purchase for any hardware-based setup IMO. |

Yeah I've heard nothing but good about them. It's definitely on my list.
I wish they did a proper rack mountable stereo link one as well. |
