I get a decent amount of use out of it and I like how its workflow/programming works. Its pretty fast for me to program a nice sequence to go along with what I am working on. The only downside to the TB-3 is you can't trigger pattern playback over MIDI, it very much works in a standard MIDI way.
I can't complain about the sound either though I am not quite convinced by the built in distortion, it sounds too harsh for my ears on most settings. Try feeding it into a high quality distortion plugin for best results to phatten/warm up the sound. Camel Phat works wonders for me...
The other builtin effects are nice but I always record with the standard saw/square wave unless I am doing a live jam kind of thing. |

Cool thanks.
None of the issues you mention bother me that much as I intend to use it mainly as a live performance machine, probably with a guitar pedal distortion.
I think I'll grab one to hook up to the TR8 :D |

The only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger on the TR-8 is ing Windows and its support for multiple input sources.

Yeah, maybe in a year or so when Intel releases Skylake and they get incorporated into the next line of iMacs. Until then it just doesn't make sense for me to buy that. |

Its the "tock" iteration of Intel's tick tock cycle, meaning its a totally new architecture and you can expect roughly ~20% better performance across the board compared to the last tick.
I have an i7 3770k so when Skylake comes out I will be doing 2 tocks. That is roughly 44% performance increase over my current CPU. |
