Look for used capybaras on ebay . Lots of people have been selling them off to upgrade to the new Paca/Paca Rana. Keep in mind that by cheap, I mean cheap for Kyma... which still isn't exactly "cheap" ;) |

Ahh, yeah, I've heard of people having those issues. Mine is one of the first as well before they manufactured them in Asia so I'm hoping it won't go on me any time soon. Apparently it was in storage up until the summer of 2008. :D |

Nice find. The first couple years of production (basically up until the first time they were discontinued) were definitely the best as far as quality goes. |

I really should take a better pic, but did it this morning with phone. ah well, still its ok!

still deciding on audio interface tho, getting logic soon too, decided to go with logic 8 cheaper and i think just as good i hope as the new 9 version. Still to connect up, novation A station, novation bass station (rack) and KB virus keyboard.

Congrats Energy - that's a perfect project setup - you've gone about it the right way and it looks clean and functional. The speakers are in the right position (as long as they are at listening height etc.). As for a audio interface I can recommend the Echo Audiofire4 but I would say you need to think about you're I/O before making any decisions, especially with the outbaord you mentioned. maybe the audiofire8 or 12 or the RME fireface if you're getting serious. |
