no. I bought 2 extra adjustable shelfs for the jerker (they are fixed at the metal bars): I put the monitors onto those shelfs and they have perfect positions (I put them onto acoustic foam pads though).
unfortunately i don't have pictures. |

The hard

and the soft

I'm currently thinking of ditching my analogue mixer and PCI soundcard and replacing them with a firewire audio interface. I can mix down and EQ in cubase, (just nice to twiddle knobs) was also thinkin it would mean less noise and more space in my tiny flat. |

Why don't you just get a desk with another shelf or 2 to hold your gear. A flat desk is a huge waste of space in a small room. |

Just copied some pics from the DJ set-up link in the other forum... have done a couple upgrades since this, but nothing worth retaking pics for (mostly DJ stuff). Next up on the production gear list... a tube pre and an interface with more inputs (love my Saffire, but needs more inputs)...

How the V8's working out?
I'm thinking of getting either the V6, Event ASP6 or the HR624's |

They're V6's... I love them. I'd stick with them if I had to replace them, largely because I've accustomed my ears to them. Whatever maonitors you get you'll listen to on various systems and learn where you need to adjust your mixes and I've been using these for awhile so I have a pretty good idea how to listen to them. I'd recommend them... then again, haven't mixed on others before. I've heard good things about the Mackies. If you go with 6's I'd recommend getting a sub to compensate for the lows. I've added a KRK sub since this pic - rounds out very well. |
