almost exact same synths as i had 5 years ago only not the G2 and my virus was 1HE C (rack xl). and my microQ was black and pink. they all suck though. |

| you had the G1 ? I can't see you programming sylenth let alone the nord modular . THey are all classics which is the point. And the B sounds better than the C. |

| no i had the nord rack 3 which was ok, easy to program but coloured limited sounds. the virus rack xl (1HE version of C) was just terrible to program with its 4 knobs and buttons but had some nice presets and alot of functionality yet terrible soft efex. microQ had some ok pad-presets and other stuff, and was ok to program but all in all they were all quite bad experiences in total imo. the jp8080 was actually the best of them with its limitations yet many knobs and great sounding waveforms. the only synth id ever want again of these typical VAs would be nord rack 2x but basically i dont see the fuzz about hardware without enough knobs to be instant to all available parametres. i dont think theres any difference between virus b and c when it comes to sound quality, only the c has more "stuff". it might be just me but i really didnt think it sounded any better than software. probably because i didnt have an pcie ssd and focals at the time (dont know if it even existed then). |

C has has the moog filters which give it a rounder sound. The b is just crispier. In many ways how the nord 2 sounds better than the nord 3. And the g1 has the nord 2 engine only programmable and then some and the g2 has the nord 3 engine. They are great for audio dsp mangling with their audio ins.
Woukd never use the actual knows when I can make my own controller viatouchosc. |

| Brilliant. I prefer to ruin an iPad than wreck an encoder. Lemur app is also just . It might seem intimidating for many but if you know basic programming, it is really just awesome. |

ya. It is ing crazy tho. I mean assigning all those balls to parameter and just letting it go.
For some reason , i feel like it is missing a few objects from the actual hardware version. |
