Maybe in dentistry but it's invaluable in electronics and particularly in aerospace tech.
The main thing is that it's been mined and used for both jewelry and trade from the beginning of time immemorial because it's imperishable and doesn't oxidize under normal environmental conditions.
They're still searching for it as treasure on the bottom of the sea and I sincerely doubt that they would even bother to do that if those shipwrecks were only filled with wet wads of fiat paper.

Maybe it's because I actually do a considerable amount of due diligence on things before I publically speak about them and it frustrates me to no end when people who have no clue about what they're talking about act like they do.
Is that so hard to understand? When I talk to you I feel like I'm arguing with a ten year old who doesn't have much of a clue about anything but thinks that all the right answers somehow have to be in direct opposition to mine.
