GRMN is fundamentally sound and selling at a discounted price, unlike JPM. As good as GRMN looks, I can't invest in them because they do not have a durable competitive advantage. There are many producers of GPS navigators and the price competition is fierce. I want nothing to do with price wars. But the fundamentals are great. It's just my investment philosophy which forbids me in buying GRMN. |

Any thoughts on Jamie Dimon and their huge derivatives book? Any thoughts on the Nuvifone and whether or not it will completely fail or if GPS has simply become completely commoditized via the iPhone, Blackberry and all the other smartphones? I think GRMN is a huge short over the long-haul. I just don't see how a company can sustain margins in an environment like that when their product is being marginalized. |

hmm..Is the GPS included free on the new iphone/blackberry models?
If so hell yes GPS makers are a short IMO. Smart phones will replace 80% of regular old brick cell phones in a decade's time..and if they all have GPS capability, the need for buying a car unit will be gone. |

In your stock report disclaimer you say: "Any opinions
expressed are in good faith and are only correct as of the stated date of the report."
An opinion can't technically be correct unless it is an opinion of something factual. As a result, it implies your opinion is factually correct. I would remove that sentence and say instead, "Any opinions expressed in this report are made in good faith (I would either stop there, or you can continue by saying) and are based on information available to the public as of the stated date of the report." Or something like that. |

I am not too much in the know with JPM's derivatives book so I am not at liberty to comment. As for the Nuvifone. It may be a great product, but the market is so competitive, price-wise, commodity-wise, I wouldn't invest in it. It's in the trader's realm and I am an investor at heart.
But you'v highlighted a good point. GRMN's current high margins are unsustainable in such a cut-throat market. Everyone is making GPS navigators these days and for much less too. That'll ultimately cut into the margins. It's just a wait n see game. |

I'll be sure to make a change to the template. Thanks. |

yeah man - keep that entrepreneurial spirit alive. nothing worse than a studid-ass (frivolous) law suit because someone misinterpreted your disclaimer. As you can imagine, dumber has happened. |

So how do you square that with your algo telling you it's a strong buy? Clearly you must also be bringing in other factors into your analysis that your spreadsheet can't account for? |
