it was a maybe on the buy back. they made no promises on actually doing it. an optional 1 billion dollar increase in buy back authorization.
but they did report they already bought a ton of shares though. good enough to shoot the stock up.
their sales and margins are dropping and they decide to buyback shares?
why not buy back in 2 years when the stock is lower? they must love their shareholders.

i think most banks cater to the buy and hold IRA/401k crowd.

NVDA up! missed earnings, they seemed to provide better than expected guidance. overly optimistic imo. had no position in it.
Look at the SNDK chart. Amazing. 9 days up in a row |
Hell yea... I've got 42% of this portfolio in NVDA..
http://marketocracy.com/cgi-bin/Web...iAfHhFeMaKiAbDf
15% NVDA here...
http://marketocracy.com/cgi-bin/Web...iBgBeIaMaKiAbDc
Tomorrow is gonna be huge for me. The reason I chose NVDA was because of a metric I developed called the Intrinsic Gamma. The higher this metric is the more under valued the fundamentals. What I do is multiply the intrinsic strength by the gamma. NVDA had a great intrinsic strength @ 82%. The gamma was a gigantic 6.96...
82 x 6.96 = 571 = intrinsic gamma
The average intrinisic gamma is more in the range of 80-120. So having a 571 meant NVDA's fundamentals were HUGELY under priced. |

| they've already bought back stock at a higher price, and now they plan on buying back more. but what happens the next quarter when sales slip and margins slip? buy more stock back at a lower price? |

Buy n hold my friend, buy n hold. It's worth a lot more than it traded for at closing time today. I'm overweighted in technology. As my strategy goes, when financials broke down, I moved to commodities. When commodities broke down, I moved to technology. Now I'm waiting for technology to shine, and I believe it very much will.. |

I'm thinking of going long Natural Gas (UNG), it is deeply oversold by any means and the commercials just keep buying and buying, which would sugest it is fundamentally undervalued.
Commercials almost holding record net long position...
What you think? |

| I bought UNG 2 days ago...seems crazy cheap to me. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 30-40% pop by Christmas. |

sndk turning over, but I can't do anything for the next 3 trading days. more opportunity gone. this is a company with a stated next quarter gross margins of 0. it filled the gap down after earnings.
