Here is her at doctor ratings

and here is her email:

[email protected]

Ask her if she ever saw someone go into diabetic shock. Or if she ever purchased a coffee that put someone into diabetic shock.

Again, diabetic shock is commonly understood to be a result of LOW blood glucose, not the high that would be caused (if at all, lol) from a bit of sugar in some coffee.

So your story is bs.

The situation happened. Although the whole hyperglycemia thing doesn't make much sense now. Frankly I don't fully understand why she would have flipped if she thought sugar was added instead of a sweetner.

She was definately pissed off at something.

Honestly I am now very confused on the point as the event happened. In this case though.

1. The sugar complaint event did happen.
2. She did state that an ambulance was called.

Jenny though, the situation doesn't make sense if diabetics can't go into shock or have a medical emergency due to getting sugar they arn't suppose to.

She requested two sweeteners added. They were, then she was raging blaming me for causing an accident in her diabetic acquaintance. I remember the event. But I didn't do anything she didn't request.

If it would be of no concern then I honestly don't fully understand the situation or why it occurred. All I know is that it occurred, and she was raging over it.

I know that diabetics can go into shock. What I'm saying is that diabetic "shock" is commonly understood to be a severe HYPOglycemic reaction, aka LOW blood sugar. If someone's blood sugar is too HIGH, aka a HYPERglycemic reaction, that is commonly understood as a diabetic coma.

I can't see a couple teaspoons of sugar causing such a reaction in such a short period of time.

I care for a few brittle diabetics, I know how the works.

No she was specifically pissed off and accused me of adding sugar instead of sweetener, which isn't the case.

I can recognize what you are saying. I honestly didn't know about the hypo hyper thing until now. Although it doesn't change the facts, it does make less sense why what happened happened.

Are you saying that getting sugar instead of sweetener wouldn't require a diabetic to call an ambulance or have severe adverse health effects?

Her coffee did have a couple teaspoons of sugar. His had sweetener.

It was 5 or 10 minutes tops that she left and came back within, although I don't remember the exact time frame I know that I remembered serving her. However she came back and some of her friends entered with her.

Basically the coffees must of been switched or totally it was totally unrelated. The coffees were marked, and I explained to her what was what.

What you are saying doesn't change the facts. The term diabetic shock may be inappropriate. But I was under the impression he drank the coffee with sugar and had a type of diabetic attack. The ambulance was called. She freaked out and blamed me.

I was dumbfounded by what had occurred and got my manager for her. She spoke with her then left.

A bunch of people from her entourage, came in and looked at me. It was one of the few events I had while working at the timmies across from St. Davids so it is etched in my memory.

If you choose not to believe that is fine, but it occurred, 3 -5 years before grand occurred.

I'm saying that, even if it WAS sugar instead of sweetener, a couple teaspoons of it is typically not enough to elevate someone's blood glucose to the level of a coma in such a short period of time. One would have to have sustained a high blood glucose for some time for them to actually go into diabetic coma.

edit: unless the person already had a high amount of glucose in his blood at the time. But then, it would be absolutely negligent to give him/her anything that would exacerbate it without administering insulin first and waiting for the reading to be within normal range.

Perhaps the manager remembers.. no clue.

Monaca McGrinder - she married someone named Saul if I recall so her last name may have changed.

Perhaps Marcy can put you in contact with her, if you'd like more information from Monica, maybe now. Although I think she probably wouldn't want the call.

It didn't happen at this location it happened when the McGrinders owned three stores but they later sold the king street location near the church and St. Davids as far as I'm aware.
