I was responding to theresa's post and when I refer to those people who are constantly assualting my character and condoning torture. if you experienced what I experienced you'd understand why it is despicable for someone to condone the actions that occured. |

Secondly. When you read an acronym like LAT out loud, you pronouce "LAT" by saying "El-Ay-Tee". Since "El" is started with a vowel, then when writing about the LAT you´ve earned, you have earned "an" LAT, not "a" "lat". "A" LAT is incorrect, which is just another example of why the only english class you have business being in is one where you are the student.
Do you understand what we´re saying when this is explained to you? |

Then you should use the word "an". In front of an acronym starting with the letter "L", "an" is the proper usage.
Or, since it´s professional, you should avoid the use of acronyms altogether, except in universaly known examples like "CPR", or "PhD". |

yeah ok so there was a gap in the material I learned from when I was in my youth. At least now I can do better.
I think I need to revise and look through all grammar rules based on pronunciation. |
