I did know it was loud, but fired the cap gun many times with no ill effects to myself. He asked me to let him hear it.. I said are you sure.. its loud, then I may have asked a second time. he confirmed yes, So I fired the gun next to his head. He squels out loud I get into major trouble for it, he ends up with an implant, get my cap gun confiscated by the principal, and his mother and father have a little talking to me. Fact is Mrs. Nichols / Nicholson may have very well treated things biased against me because of what happened to her son Michael. Yet she still acted against me as a public prosecutor in a different case before a justice of the peace in a clear conflict of interest. While it may not be the same Mrs. Nichols / Nicholson, you never know things could come back against you

I think adults make their own choices.

If you are stuck in a burning building, sure that fire is probably going to influence your behaviour, the same is true with humans.

The difference is I am not responsible for their actions. People still make wrong and right actions. If someone pushes someone else into the fire to help put it out, that might not be a good decision, but leaving the building or putting the fire out with a fire blanket or some other fire fighting device could be a good decision. I am not saying that I am not a source of stimulus for others. I am saying however that if someone violates someones rights or commits a crime against someone, it doesn't validate that as a good decision unless there is a foundation for the decision they made as being wholesome and unerrored. Moral stated that I should have just let the clerk deprive me of the purchase. While that satisfies the clerks needs, it doesn't satisfy me. Decisions should satisfy both parties, not just one. She was using store policy to deprive me of sale, not to enable the sale. If she followed the store policy in whole the same issue wouldn't of resulted. Much like in the cap gun instance, if her son was educated about deafness he may not have asked to be put at risk of deafness. The mother blamed me, yet it was her own lack of educating her son that lead to her son becoming partially deaf in one ear. Sure I pulled the trigger but niether I nor Michael as far as I am aware knew any harm could result. You might ask why I might think it was loud, because I never really enjoyed the loudness, but another friend of mine did. Fact is I didn't buy the cap gun, my parents did.

Imagine the cigarette thing, but consider what would have happened if not you but any other poster in this thread had conducted the situation, let's say starting at the point where you're asked for an ID but can't provide. Would everyone have reacted the way you did?

Would everyone deny me. No, the fact I bought a pack of cigarettes at another store, as well as previously at that same store without ID demonstrates this to be an exception. There was only one other time I had ever been denied, at a different store chain, I was younger but still of age at the time, fact is I was deeply offended and upset to be viewed as a minor when I was of age of majority. It rooted in me a deep seeded disgust for the need of ID in a society that trusts plastic but not a human.

Would everyone get arrested? I believe no one else would get arrested or get in any trouble whatsoever. Most would even walk out of the store with the desired pair of cigs. Why not you? Seriously, ask yourself that question.

Because Mary ed up in not doing her job.

Why were you unable to take actions that kept you out of trouble and achieved your goal?

Because I wasn't the point of error. Most people would have ignored the clerk taken the personal insult and spoke with the manager, and potentially filed a complaint against the clerk. I prefered to speak direct with the person to "correct" their error and errored judgement. Most people just wouldn't care. I did. That doesn't make me faulty, the opposite is true.

I expect a little more humanity than others.

Life isn't a computer process.

I have suffered hearing loss also. I'm not bitter about it, it sucks but I don't blame djs or operators for making the music available, its part of the reason I don't go out to clubs, due to the music being played to loudly.

Actually, most people would have provided ID.

MOTE THE DATE!!!

4.2.1 Sale of Tobacco to Persons under 19
The Act requires tobacco vendors to request photo identification from any person who appears to be under the age of 25 to ensure tobacco purchasers are 19 years of age or older. This is applicable even if the seller/supplier knows that the intended purchaser is 19 years of age or older as it removes the statutory defence in section 3(4) of the TCA.
