I'm definitely confident about getting into the playoffs. I'm feeling good about overtaking boston. It's really important that we do take over boston (or cleveland get more wins) because we absolutely do not want to play the angels in the first series. We've owned the indians this season and i would like to play them in the first series.

im interested to see the wang v beckett game, it should be good. although bosox fans should be more than slightly worried. they haven't showed any offense against the DRays, manny is just being manny, and ortiz is gimping.

EDIT: DAMN, I write the third sentence and then they make that huge come back.

A very strange game unfolding at the Fens. We've scored 13 runs in 4 innings. We've scored 5 in the bottom of the sixth and there is still nobody out.

And did I mention that, at one point, we were trailing by 7 runs?

way to go boston. that's pretty impressive. although to be honest, if cleveland manages to end the season with a better record than LA i don't want to win the east.

F'ing sick! Papelbon's reaction was priceless too. What a great way to head into a huge weekend series.

It was pretty lucky though, if young had played that ball properly he would have had a good chance of making the play.

You're two last games have been great to watch just because the team is showing so much character..They got a die hard attitude and they aint missing Manny..Fortunately TB weren't able to capitalise on the piss poor performances by Wakefield and Lester..

NEW YORK -- Yankee Stadium is set to host its final regular-season game on Sept. 21, 2008, with New York playing Baltimore.

Shea Stadium will hold its regular-season wrapup a week later, on Sept. 28 against Florida.

The Yankees and Mets recently received schedule drafts for the 2008 season from the commissioner's office. The Yankees also will host the All-Star Game.

Both New York teams are moving into new ballparks in 2009.

Yankee Stadium opened in 1923. The new $1 billion ballpark is built across the street and will keep the same name.

Shea opened in 1964. The $800 million Citi Field is being built in the parking lot beyond Shea's center-field wall.
