verlander is amazing!!!! 102 mph fastball in the ninth inning, and a nasty 84mph curveball that drops 2 feet. I can't imagine how anyone can even put the ball in play when he's on.

Oh yeah steven....im sure you were excited about cairo's defense. that play he made was amazin, full body extension, about 3-4 ft off the ground. Solid D.

Congrats. You quoted Bill Simmons word for word.

Anyway, a win is a win and I'll take it. All of my red sox fan coworkers have definetly stopped the trash talking... I can tell they're waiting for the inevitable blow by the yankees will do in august to regain the lead.

BOBBITO!!!!!

haha weird - hadn't actually read that column.

If one of our starters goes down I'll be worried but with Lester coming up soon and our team staying healthy I couldn't be happier about possessing the best record in baseball and being up 9 1/2 games in the second week of June.

he doesn't have good range, he takes bad routes to balls, and he has a bad first step (meaning he doesn't get a good first read).

and anytime you think he makes a great catch, like a running arm extended catch, there is a great chance that one of the above factors played a role in the catch looking good. Many great outfield plays in baseball are a result of bad initial reaction. you would know this if you ever played.

Being a girl I tried to stay away from BASEball as a sport to play

I have watched Matsui play for the last 3 years almost every Saturday at Yankees Staduim, not include the random weekday games I have seen and I can honestly say, as many NY fans, that when he's on in Left we are covered.

In reality though I just wanted to be a bitch to you because you seem to think you know EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING and EVERYONE and in reality you are just a complete to everyone.
