as for matsuzaka getting the rookie of the year, i think he'll definitely get a run for his money by this guy Ian Kinsler from texas. If he can keep his BA and run production up he's a shoe in. Check out his line:
BA .329, HR 8, RBI 20, OBP .398, SLG .712
But to tell you the truth it would suck if he did get it because he's no really a rookie. The damn guy was a god in japan and won the mvp in the baseball classic. I think the award should be for young guys who have never played on this level. |
Kinsler had 423 ABs last year. He's ineligible. |

my bad...i didn't realize he was ineligible. I knew he played last year, but i didn't know he had so many at bats.
In that case, matsuzaka has no real competition at this point. Although i will admit i don't really pay much attention to teams located further than 300 miles from NYC. |

True. And, of course it's very early, but Josh Hamilton is the early favorite for NL RotY. I wonder if he can win Comeback Player of the Year too, considering he's never played in the majors...
If Oliver Perez continues doing what he's doing, 3 out of 4 great starts, he could be the NL Comeback Player of the Year. |

awww so sweet of u chica *hugs* i DID have fun tho, cheering and taking pics/videos and trying to contribute to Jay and Mere's trashtalking. rofl!
hmm as for today...despite Wakefield starting, def surprised/impressed by IGAWA's unscheduled appearance. Nice amt of strikeouts so far...If anything the Yankees definitely have a better showing today in general than last nights. there *IS* hope for todays game yet

i think we may have, given we aren't used to losing like that, but im still a little worried. Wang should win tomorrow against tavarez, and then our schedule gets soft with texas, seattle, texas, and seattle.
btw...henn has been our best man out of the bullpen. He has a 1.84 era in 14.2 innings.

yes, ur right...igawa just featured more prominently because he pitched 5+ innings and struck out 6...but farnsworth was really good...the strikes he threw were DEAD-ON. |

were you guys watching the same game....farnsworth gave up 1 run, 2 hits and a walk in one inning. His 98 mph fastball doesn't impress me that much, at least 50% of the time he has a real problem locating it. |
