you may be right, i didn't even think about st louis. Although i would still argue that boston is more of a baseball town becaue the city is roughly twice the population of st louis and there is a comparable devotion to the game. |

prior to the red sox becoming a national bandwagon team, I'd argue that there are more cards fans than the red sox fans since cards fans are all over the south central part of the US. they travel far and wide to see the redbirds play.
st. louis literally lives and dies with the redbirds. it's honestly the only thing the city has going for them these days. if you ever go to st. louis during baseball season, it's the only thing locals talk about. they appreciate good baseball from both the home team and the visitors. (Yeah, I know they mercilessly booed Tino Martinez when he came back as a Yankee in 2005, but that's rare) they're also not obnoxious like we Northeast fans are :p (Boston-NYC-Philly)

I don't know if you can compare Boston, New York fans to fans in Philly. They're notoriously some of the worst, angriest fans in all of sports. The Fans who booed Santa Claus, cheered when Michael Irving sprained his neck plus a whole litany of other example.

The true horror of this story is that this kid actually wanted Shelly Duncan's autograph.
He should be ordered to return all sox paraphernalia and sentenced to live in the worst Bronx neighborhood for 25 years.

he's supposed to be a professional, not just in the baseball sense, but in anything remotely related to baseball and the yankees. |

Oh please...
As if anyone really cares THAT much. Nothing can make the Sox/Yankees rivalry any more heated than the 90 years theyve been playing each other. This is just another thing to add to the filing cabinet in the rivalry. |
