When he starts, hes gonna go by the Jake Peavy rules... first off... when he begins starting, he probably wont go more than 5IP no matter what, after he adapts no more than 7IP. We dont want another Francisco Liriano.
If Johan isnt resigned, I dont expect teams to trade for him cause the cost would be immense, I say he hits the FA market and the team with the fattest/most desperate wallet will get him. And if/when the Yanks resign ARod, I cant see them going after Johan. I want the Yanks to go after Rowand for CF, than move Melke's gun out to RF. |
I'd trade my mom for Johan Santana.
Nonetheless, the Twins would be out of their minds to trade Johan for 1 prospect when they'd get two high draft picks for him when he signs with another team. |

Thats only if teams are willing to bid on Johan instead of waiting for his contract to expire. In which case, it REALLY plays into the hands of the Yankees, a pitcher like that - I find it hard to believe that the Yankees dont offer a truckload of money... and I find it hard to believe that Johan isnt really interested in going to a championship team. |

Yeah, I would too. I definitely worry about their speed and ability to bring out quality pitchers in the late innings but what can you do? I'm glad we have home field against them, I think that gives us a clear edge.
Plus, I'm very encouraged by how Dice-K pitched last night. We desperately need him to perform in the post season. |

i'm trying to decide which hurts more, the end to this season or being at game 7 last year. i think i give the nod to this year because there is no excuse for blowing the kind of lead they had with less than 20 games to go.
just glad that hockey season starts this week... |

I'm always around. I'm not going to watch any of the NL series. As of right now, I'm hoping the Indians win the WS. I've been picking them for like 4 years now. |
