bruney (2.33) and meyers (2.84) have both done excellent jobs in the bullpen this year. They have the two lowest ERAs in the bullpen. Bruney has probably been the most consistent in the bullpen this year. Bruney is going to be an excellent pitcher for a while (he's only 25). He has a great fastball and decent breaking stuff. Meyers problem is that he can't get the lefty out anymore, but he is excellent against righties this year. It seems they always hit it to jeter.

Proctor looks really good sometimes, and not so good at other times. The relievers i can't stand coming in from the bullpen are farnsworth and vizcaino.

I watch almost every game James and whilst the stats might back you up,,I pay more attention to how they perform when under pressure and not when we're in front by a mile...

i'm still a beginner but strategically i look at games/players from a different point of view than yourself...

some pitchers in our bullpen obviously have better stats than others but who gives a when our bullpen sucks...

I definitely respect that, but i think torre's bad decisions may be affecting how people feel about certain players. torre, at least in april and may, would bring in vizcaino all the time in important situations and wouldn't give bruney the ball in key spots. I don't think anyone should fault bruney because he doesn't have the trust of some douche bag manager, namely torre, to be brought into key spots.

i will admit that i haven't been watching some games because of studying, but i've yet to see a game (except the one against the white sox) where bruney has lost it. Every game i see he seems to do well. I'm just surprised you didn't list Vizcaino because he's a friggin bum. It seems he can't get anyone out, and torre brings him into big situations. That's a huge factor in why i hate torre.

haha...which rule you wanna change? Im down for letting the teams actually fight during the bench clearing brawls. Just give them a one inning penalty, something like hockey.

I would definitely vote for a british ticket for the presidency, maybe a steven/tony blair ticket.

I wish i could come up. Unfortunately for me i have to study for the bar exam which is the next week.

2..you cant get caught out in foul territory..

3..Games can be tied..

4..maximum of three pitchers per game..

Help me figure this bull out James...They walk Damon,,to load the bases to face Jeter..Jeter however has the best hitting average with runners in scoring positions in the league...

it,,we won and apart from the up by Melke we look good...Mo looks solid,,I think Cairo is beginning to look good at first base and we're confident..

just got back from the game... if you're the pirates i guess that's the 'right' baseball play to make, to create a force at home and to setup the double play.. everyone in the stadium knew the game was over once jeter came up tho... good

They walked Damon to load the bases so they had a force out at home. If anything was hit over an infielders head a run was most likely going to score. The play would have worked if jeter hit the ball a little bit harder. Not a bad baseball move. Jeter also strikes out alot, so it was really a fundamental move.

1...the problem here is that we see the problem with yankees pitching, the inability to get strikes over the plate. Balls are easier to throw so you get more.

2...interesting idea.

3...that's something we don't like in america, we avoid it at all costs. in fact, we just did away with ties in hockey. We want to know who wins and losses. That's part of the reason soccer isn't popular in the US. a significant portion of the time no team wins.

4....im all for something like this.

I'll add more,

5...don't pitch on intentional walks.

6...no extra padding for batters. I hate when bonds wears the elbow armor. It makes it so he doesn't care if he gets hit.

7...umpires can't throw out players at will. They have too much power to toss out players.

8...on a ground-rule double over the outfield fence, a baserunner gets home. Usually umpires exercise their discretion to keep the runner at third, and we all know that a double usually means a runner will score from first, unless the runner is a catcher or giambi.

Also James i wanna combine the american league and national league...Split all the teams into two divisions,,league one and two...crap teams in one league and good teams in the other..however the good teams in league two can get promoted and the bad teams in league one can get relegated...same as football(soccer)....National league rules apply....

cut in half the number of games played...

each team plays every other team in their division an equal amount of times....

the bottom two teams at the end of the season get relegated to the minor leagues...and the best two minor league teams get promoted to the majors...
