Haven't been there since '06, but the food has been terrible every single time I've been there :/ The coupon system is annoying too. |

didn't really eat while I was there...busy taking pictures and dancing my ass off.
what you ate is called a croquet (or croquette don't know the sp?) i love them they are pretty damn good if you ask me.
I'm also a HUGE fan of the dutch cheese sandwich [below]

That would be a 'kroket' in Dutch :p Translated it would be croquet I guess.

Have you tried a 'frikandel'? I like those better.

But yeah, Dutch snacks are weird for anyone who's unfamiliar with them. |

Caramel-like syrup :)
You can get them at every supermarket. Also at regular markets, where you can get them while they're fresh. If you like them warm you can always warm them in a microwave.
They go great with hot chocolate milk. |

so it technically has the same filling of a stroopwaffle? just heated up? i might have to try when I return I guess!
i too head to chicago often on business, perhaps if i do any time soon can meet with a few for a pint or two. |
