Now I'm confused - I thought you two DID live together, but now you were going to go to school and move away so you weren't going to live together anymore... but you guys have been living separately this whole time? |
No, we've never lived together. I've lived on my own the past 2 years, while he's continued to live with his parents.
I WAS going to move for school...but not with him. Initially I wanted him to move in with me/have us rent a place together somewhere but he wouldn't take it seriously, so I said " it I can't live my life around his complacency, I need to make things happen" and decided I would move with my buddy. Either way, I need to start sharing rent...because these last 2 years are more intense and $$$ at school. I'm going to lose hours at work, and there's no way I'll be able to live off just my line of credit.
Well my buddy flaked, and I guess at this point my bf realized that I would actually up and leave him, and so he talked to his parents about it and they offered up their old place to us. |

My main concern is public transit since I have to move away from work and ...but his place is near one of the busiest streets in town, which means more convenient bus service/more options.

I wish! I love my location. :/
Jimmy's old place (where we'll be moving) is uptown, probably a half hour from here on foot. It's in a great neighbourhood though, and it's still close to everything. Aww that sucks. It is a house though...and the bathroom doesn't require us giants to ing bend over just to pee! :p
Hey at least there is an actual room for when I visit again! |

Well congrats!!!!! Living together is a big step!!!
In my last relationship - it was the biggest mistake ever lol.
This one though, I love living with him. And he loves living with me. He comes home with flowers and I'll be like "what are these for" and he says "cause you're beautiful and I love coming home to you" :)
You guys have a good relationship going so it should be good for the two of you :) |

Lol, no ing way. Actually...master bedroom is covered. My bf has a BEAUTIFUL bedroom set made by Mennonites. Really expensive .
And I can put all my bedroom furniture in his sister's old room. Then there's another small bedroom that they used to use as a computer room/office, which we can keep the same.
It's just the living room and downstairs bedroom/living room that will be empty for a while. We may rent that out to a friend or something.
I have a little bit of furniture for the main living room, but we'll def need more. :p |

Heh yeah, I'm not worried about it at all. I mean not in the sense that I'm going to see his "true colors" now that we live together. I already know all that.
He picks up after himself and does his own laundry, and even cleans the bathroom, lol. Big boy now, lmao.
The only thing I honestly think will be a problem is cooking/meals. I think he expects I will do that for him all the time...but I won't be able to because I'm way in' busier than him, and I work shift work.
I actually said once, half in jest, "I hope you don't think I'll be preparing meals for you all the time when we live together/are married?" And he got all pissed off, lol.
So, the mother****** better learn to cook. :p
It's going to be a bigger eye opener for him than it will for me, that's for sure. He's never been independent in his life.

As if I care what Jay thinks of anything, lol. There's no shame in using public transit. I like the lifestyle, tbh. I like being around people, even if some of them are weirdos, or living at the poverty line. Hell, my own mother lives at the poverty line.
Anyway, I've had cars before...and I don't feel like I'm missing anything. Certainly not missing throwing money away to gas and insurance every month, lol. |

| haha good for you guys. I always said (because it was passed down through my mothers lips) that no matter how long you've been together, don't get married until you've shared socks and pots. :thepirate |
