Yeah, I was definitely unsure of what the results would be like, and I did have to take quite a few at first, but the ones that worked out worked out well! The little guys have moved out now, but I still hear them calling (a lot, at that!) during the morning/afternoon

Awesome shots! fantastic colors...is that a small lizard in its mouth?? They're fascinating birds... relatively strange, specialized proportions and often great colors. Just googled them to see some more pictures of different kinds of kingfisher, and look at this one:
the 'black backed' kingfisher, amazing
The Kookaburra is in the kingfisher family right? You've got those guys (I really want to see one in the wild sometime), as noisy as they may be! |
