Curious - What do you typically set your camera to for those shots?
With the absurdly amount of wildlife I'll be seeing in Alaskan back country this weekend - I am sure I'll be wanting some shots similar to what you do (Landscapes are my bread and butter... not fast animals) |
I shoot on aperture priority (AV) mode, and adjust the aperture to what ever it needs to be so I get the fast shutter speeds. Handheld, 1/400th of a second is as low as I really want to go, unless the subject is fully stationary. Also, I don't like shooting with an aperture any lower than f/5.6, or half the bird/whatever begins to blur out.
Does that help at all? :conf:
I'll have to quiz you about landscape stuff! I don't really do much, save for a sunset shot I did a few months ago that turned out well from a 30 second exposure on f/11 or something :p |
