Quite a few that I really wanted to see weren't there..namely GZA, Common, and The Roots...but it was still dope as . RZA, Talib + Hi Tek, and EPMD made the show. Big Boi too. He performed lots of off Southernplaylisticadillacmusic

We got there just as MOP were coming on. So bummed about missing SV.
Later on in the night Talib joined Mos on stage for some Blackstar action (totally knew that was gonna happen), and it was so ing sick.
Supernat and KRS were awesome hosts, too. Supernat did all this awesome freestyle using he grabbed off people in the crowd. And KRS One dropped mad knowledge on us all, haha. Oh man!
Still can't get over the epicness of RZA. Shiiiiiit. Definitely not disappointed with the show at all. Will most likely go back next year. I haven't seen a bad RTB line-up yet (Would have loved to go the year Doom was on the line-up...or even last year with Tribe and The Pharcyde omg).
edit: We left after Mos...I dunno, I don't really care for Nas all that much, and we had another party to go to that was only going on till midnight. Didn't want to deal with the crowd leaving either.
I'm also convinced that Pete Rock is a terrible DJ. That's the second time I've seen him, and both times he was just so sloppy man. Although he must have a ing awesome record collection. |
