So in the spirit of Kadamony, I chose to attempt to make my first flier for an event tonight.
Nosmo and Kris B. throw a weekly in Chicago that I'm playing at (w/ Bobby! w00t!) for the Holiday weekend next week, and I decided to do the art for the week:
Thoughts, criticisms, flames, or praise?

I'm not an artist, and generally don't do the pretentious stuff anyway.
Also, the fact that you think it's "just a picture" means at least I did a good job with that. ;)
And it's Millenium Park in Chicago. |

| i'm one of those "less is more" types and i like a little more color. i just meant the "picture" is too detailed for my taste re: flyers. |

| It's nice mate. Clean and subtle. The only problem with that is it's too subtle. There's nothing there which grabs someones eye and makes them take the time to look at it. Once they do, it gets the point across in a good way but I'm afraid too many people would just look past it. |

Yeah, I was definitely afraid I was "playing it safe" on these - but on the upside, it's just for digital flyering, so at least I don't have to worry about handing them to people and having them pass them up.
I do, however, think the fact that this is the first one I've ever done is pretty obvious (i.e. it's definitely not even remotely pro). :p |
