Kad - we thought about doing it on the floor but we didn't like the look, plus it's uncomfortable on your feet (we stood on it to check lol). Most people do it on the floor because the pebbles are really expensive - but we saw it on the walls of a restaurant and fell in love with the look! We WERE going to do 3/4 walls of pebbles around the whole bathroom, but it would have ended up costing us like two grand more, so we stuck with just the walls of the shower. There's a glass wall & glass door like in the other bathroom in that bathroom now too :) |
Ah okay. I saw it done on a home improvement show, and yea it was pretty expensive. I've only stood on a pebble shower floor once and it was ok. Guess it comes down to the shape of the rocks and how sensitive one's feet are haha :P

Well I have sensitive feet! haha - the black pebbles look smooth but all all misshappen and different sizes so it hurt on the footsies.
The pebbles usually sell for like $25-$29 sq ft around here for those particular pebbles - but we knew the owner of the warehouse and got a deal for $10.71 per sq ft - the ty part was that you had to order extra to fill in the gaps on the sheet they come on. |

some nice stuff, esp the bathroom etc. Think the colours are maybe a bit bold/dark overall in places, but it's obviously preference. Also it may be the shots but a couple of rooms look a bit dark. I tend to like space/light combinations, and use the bolder colours sparingly. Looks like you have a great home there, but I have to prefer boomers just cos we saw thatbeing born like a baby :p |
