Why am I amazed by this?

This is Mt. McKinley as seen from Anchorage. The mountain is easily 150 miles away... The visibility on clear days blows my mind. For those not in the know - McKinley has a summit of 20,320 ft and is the highest mountain in North America.
BTW - Sushi - an upgrade was made, although I defected from Canon.
Images were taken with a Nikon d80 with an 18-135 f3.5-5.6 and 70-300 f4-5.6 w/ VR (Nikon version of IS) |
So beautiful!
So you're a defector, huh?! :p I was wondering what you were going to go with. Nikon D80 looks good! I take it that's pretty much the competitor for the Canon 40D? Be interested to how you like the telephoto lens as well - I had the Canon equivalent (exactly the same specs) for a while and loved it. :) |
