i hoenstly thought about that...which is why i'm not putting up any posters. or at least, not in the house (they'll be in the garage). so it doesn't look like a bachelor pad or frat house.
i dunno...i'm conflicted right now, because part of me is like trying to hold onto that party that i had in louisiana; but part of me is like, "ok, its over and done now...time to grow up". so yeah, i dunno.
one of my favorite memories of mardi gras is the fact that friends from chicago basically went through hell to get down there to party it up with me; and that makes me pretty happy to know i have great friends out there. so, aside from the alcohol and sex, the beads are a weird sentimental symbol of friendship and stuff for me.:wtf:
in any case, i'm reminded of an episode of futurama (Time Keeps on Slipping) where Fry makes a "time-skipping safe room" and asks Leela to go in there with him. the room is all sexxed out 70s style with beads, lava lamps, and blacklights/posters and Fry says, "baby when we're in here, Time will stand still"
time skips forward and the next scene Fry has a black eye from Leela punching him. :stongue: |
