I must disagree with you. There are certain postions that do not require as much physical exertion and therefore those players' physique may reflect that, but I don't think you can generally state that baseball players as a whole aren't athletes. They train and workout and some are in _excellent_ condition.
But then, yeah, there are slobs and drug addicts and losers.
But hey, not everyone can be the athlete that YOU are mr. boston marathon/Superman/Lord of the Schranz!

MOST baseball players that I have seen -which isn't many, since i could care less for this game- were in much worse shape than many athletes that I have seen.
My judgement is therefore based on a small semi-random sample. |
