hi,.. ya its 523am,... flo is out having a sig,... and im posting,... im slightly drunk and flo and i have been talking for 90 min or so,... just wanted to say hi,....10 days till mr joe cool arrives!! lisa,.. i used to smoke a lot, but have since stopped, when i went to school in the netherlands and smoked everyday and i got it all out of my system,. i now only smoke on the most rarest of occoaisons and have given my pipes and bongs away,... i delt it and did all that unlawfull stuff with it, but knew it was time to move on from that scene,.... i stick to alcohol now and a few other choice things which im glad i dont have access to on a regular basis
ok 545,... hitting sack now 5 more hours and ill be at 24wooo!!! |

Good morning guys!
I'm sorry to nerdy up the place again, but I have a little math problem hehe.
Ok I need to know what size enlargement to make that will be the closest to the proportions of a 24mm * 36mm slide, so as not to cause any image "clipping." There is about $1000 dollars at stake, so I don't want to up. I'm looking to make print sizes which are of course, in inches. The sizes I'm considering are:
4in*6in
5in *7in
8*12in
8.5*11in
11*14in
11*16in
If I remember correctly, 5*7inch, and 11*14inch are the closest to being proportional to a 24*36mm piece of film, but I need to double check. :nervous:
All you have to do is convert the mm's to inches first right??
I can't remember what the conversion factor to do so is... Why can't the world just use the metric system?!?!?!:whip: :whip: :rolleyes:
Anyways. Then you make a proportion and cross multiply with the desired print sizes, correct?? The proportions that are closest to being "equal" will result in the least image "clipping..."
Did I get that right?? All I really need is the conversion factor to change inches to mm (and vice versa), and then I think I'm set!
