ok... now, PVD is against this war and seems to be pretty vocal about it. and the lot of you have agreed with him, even adding the 'no war, no way' phrase into sigs and what not. so, if PVD was completely for the war and had a shirt that said 'Where there's a war, there's a way' would your view change? would you have put that in your sig? and if you didnt, would you just not be vocal about the war at all? personally, i am all for the war. war, altho very devastating, has solved many of the worlds problems. do you think that we could've just sat down with Stalin and Hitler and said 'hey, excuse me, what yo are doing isn't very nice!' absoutely not. same thing with saddam. you can't sit with him and talk about this. anyway, don't think i am some super war monger, because for example, i am completely disgusted by the wars that ensued due to the Europeans 'discovery' of america. and people see christopher colombus as a hero and we celebrate him with a day off from work and school. he, altho not as bad as people such as Pizarro, was not a very great role model. perhaps we should teach our children these things earlier in life, instead of waiting for them to get to college. we teach them all of these lies about history... how christopher columbus discovered america and made friends with the natives. how the civil war was started due to lincoln wanting to abolish slavery. same thing with the pilgrims. we teach kids that the pilgrims and native americans were close friends and even had a great dinner together. bah... being a history major sucks. :toothless

| yo shame. i am with you. i am for the war completely. peace would be great, but sometimes you have to fight for it. as for pvd, everyone has their causes. i still love the idea of peace and i shot my peace sign high up in the air with everyone else at space. |

shamez, totally agree. i wasn't for the war before it started, but now that its going, ing take the punks out. do it quick and get it over with. i don't like war, but now that its started just end it quick. don't try to act all heroish and cowboyish. just get the job done and be out. hehehehe. but i like how pvd voices his opinions though. :D he does it in an alright way, just says what he believes in. he's not pushing it on anyone.

( He also shortly took part in a peace protest while he was in Australia back in February ) |

my oppinion is completely independent of PvD or what any DJ thinks. I believe that I am adult enough to have figured out that I do not need to follow or imitate other people.
I have heard a lot of arguments from both sides. From my personal perspective, the "no war at this point" (before the war had started..duh) faction has the best ones. Hence, that is the side I stand on.

FOR THE FIRST TIME????? i'm german and i've ALWAYS been damn proud. maybe not of what happened many many years ago, but that wasn't me, nor anyone in my family. but i am VERY proud to be german. its usually one of the first things people learn about me when they get to know me. so pvd was always ashamed of being german? :conf: i never picked up that vibe from him. |

greg, lately, you seem to have very sarcastic remarks to all posts. i was just stating that, as you and i both know, there are many people who CAN'T make decisions for themselves... i just wanted to see if anyone would fess up to it. i guess my whole point lost focus... i get sidetracked very easily. |

What happened in afghanistan was because of the US, the US helped the afghanis fight russia and then after russia left then so did the US. They left the coutnry in a terriable situation and becuase of taht the taliban came into power. They didnt rebuild the coutnry or anything, the US came in a did what was good for them and left. How ed up is that? and then 15 years or so later the US goes back in and try to make it better beucause it was in thier interest to do since 9/11 occured.
Now look at iraq, who put saddamn in power? the UK and the US who supplied him nukes and instrucitons on how to make chemical weapons to help the US and UK to defeat iran. The US did what was good from them in 1979 and left and gave control to sadadmn. Now when saddamn got too powerful then the US has to go back in and try to make it better again. They could of have taken out saddamn in 91 but they didnt. They have to go back again 12 years later to do a job they didnt do back in 91. How many people are being killed for some dumb decision made by this countrys(US) leaders back in 91.
There is no point in this War. Yes i udnerstand saddamn sholudnt be in power but the US had chances to deal with him before and there are better way to deal with him.
After the this war...there will be unstability in IRAQ. THe US cant take sides....the kruds will want thier own part in the north, but then the turks wont like this because then the kurds in turkey will also want thier own nation. This will lead to a big conflit.
Then after this the US said they will go after IRAN , North Korea and make peace between Isreal and palestine...i want to see that since they are too buddy buddy with isreal.
OHH and where is Osama?????? did they find him yet? Will the find saddamn? no they wont.....so this war will just cause more problems aroudn the world. This is nto good for any Americans either....becuase amreicans are beign hated all over the world as of now. |
