Hello Chris,
I was directed to your website today, frankly people were just tossing it around in our forums (http://www.di.fm/forums/showthread....&threadid=37609)
It's pretty funny, and I think I remember I've seen it sometime in the past. The images are great too, can you tell me if you do those yourself and for fun? Are they for remixes for friends or just plain for yourself, or you actually get to send them to the artists?
I got interested in that because we are an online radio station specializing in Trance (and other electronica stuff), so we share some ideas I guess.
Well, keep on enjoyin' life, all the very best from us at Digitally Imported Radio!

Hello Ari!
Thank you for your email. I cannot believe the actual founder of DI wrote me! wow! Yes, my website is my passion. For me, trance is my religion as it inspires me completely. I've been working on my website for a couple of years and have gotten tremendous feedback. Basically I believe, as you do, that the internet is a great medium to share ideas...and especially music. I tried to make my page as user friendly as possible so that the most people can enjoy the music. I try to make the graphics (which i create) to try to entice people to actually wait for the music to dl. Most of the songs are mp3's i get from my friends, which i convert to .WMA format so that most people can listen to (wma was chosen b/c 95% of the internet population uses IE).
Your website is awesome, i sometimes listen to it. I was wondering how profitable you guys are? I was looking at all your Gold Sponsers and was impressed with the amount of support that you guys are getting. Can i ask you something though? As founder of DI, can you criticize my page and let me know if you think there is any way that i can make money off my site? Right now i'm doing it out of my own pocket.
I'm an active participant(moderator of the chicago section) of tranceaddict.com . I also have alot of friends here:

Since you guys are located in New York, please let me know if you need any help? I can easily recruit people for you!

Hi Chris, I got a super crazy idea after my suggestion to you.
You said you wanted to make a buck to cover your website costs. And your emotions section is pretty funny. What would you say to a crazy idea about having your emotions section on DI Radio - and let people bid on ebay to order a custom emotion from you? We'd keep the conditions clean, like they couldn't order something digusting, etc..
The hope is, that by some crazy miracles there are enough crazy people to bid high enough that we both can walk away with something. We can split it 50/50. I think the bids have to reach at least around $40 for it to make sense for us. I think we can give it a try, DI gets upto 300,000 impressions a day, lots of banner space goes wasted, we could advertise the ebay item for fun.
Then we can have a section with the past emotions that were made, and who "sponsored" it. If it's not something you'd like to do, let me know, I am cool, just thought it might be fun and worth to try something crazy. You never know. Maybe if not monetarily, we can both get exposure if it picks up.
Cheers!
